Movie posters but make them queer (and a bit gothic, why not.)
(EDIT: I like the contrast in the original version but the lines look too muddled, which bothers me greatly given that they're an integral part of the artwork - a light background doesn't convey quite the same thing, but I think it's more suited to the intended style.)
Ref under the cut for the curious:
I've read all your character synopses and can't decide which to ask about, there's simply too many I want to know about :')
Questions 3, 4, and 11 for any character/s you like!
Aah thank you! 🖤
Answers under the cut:
3: What was the first thing you decided on, the character's name, appearance, personality or their role in the story?
The real world setting/timeline for the current story was decided when I came up with Thel's black metal AU, where he's just some dork in a shitty band, so that:
It's been relegated to a C-plot in the final draft, but that was the starting point.
4: And reverse, which one of the four things did you struggle with the most?
Nath's role, probably. He's got the most lore and I wanted to cram as much as humanly possible into one single story, but it should probably have been its own thing. Oh well. He's my fav and I can write whatever I want from childhood trauma to blood addiction and church burnings, shh.
11: Is there any existing character from other media that your character resembles? Was the resemblance intentional or was it a coincidence?
Entirely unintentional when (if) that happens. His appearance has changed quite a bit over the years, but Bélial is the one who gets compared to other characters the most:
(These are just a few ones I found on tumblr, there's more)
Floppy brown hair + mask + visible teeth will do that to a character. I GUESS. You tell me.
