Ship Meme: Rex n Neil
Is a better cook: ... A tie? They both are decent but not chefs.
Falls asleep first: Neil. Hands down Neil. Because Rexer spends hours upon hours going over datapads and patients... Sometimes he doesn’t sleep for days at a time... There are even days Neil has to drag him from the healing wing.
Is a bigger cuddler: Rexer. He sometimes just even walks up to Neil and flops onto his lap before curling up to cuddle with him, not caring if Neil was doing something important.
Stays up until 2 am reading: Both of them. They are both very busy.
Decides to adopt a pet: Rexer. Definitely Rexer... But Neil is a close second because he might grumble about it, but he would love the fuck out of that little pet.
Comes home drunk at 3 am: Uhh... both of them? Neil more so then Rexer though. haha.
Holds the other’s hand more often: Rexer. Neil still sometimes has issues showing affection in public... But Rexer doesn’t. Not anymore.
Forgets the birthdays and anniversaries: I want to say Neil more than Rexer? Because Neil’s head is so full of everything with him trying to keep the Temple safe and worrying about his little brother and his twin along with Rexer... Although I’m pretty damn sure Rexer has forgotten quite a few with how much work he does.
FF+ Garrett, Aikein, Rexer & Tonti
Garrett
It had been a rough night. Staying up to keep watch over Enzo, who's condition had turned ever so slightly and worried the large Mandalorian. So as he sat at the table in the morning, nursing a cup of caff and reading the emails he had gotten over the night, he couldn't help but feel content. That was, until he opened one from an unknown sender.
Reading down through the email had him spitting his caff out and blushing grandly. What. The. Frak?
"Cyare!" He bellowed, quickly pushing himself from his chair and coughing as caff went down the wrong pipe. "Cyare we got a problem!"
"What is it?" Enzo grumbled as he yawned, still in bed.
"Who the kark have ya been tellin' our sex life to?" Garrett growled out, shoving the datapad into Enzo's face as he continued to blush grandly. "Every lil' detail?! I think 'm gonna be sick... this says it's on a romance holosite!"
"Oh? Would ya look at tha'..." Enzo grumbled slightly as he started reading, only to chuckle, "Hey... they even got my pleadin' down word for word..."
"It ain' funny!" Garrett all about squeaked in his panic.
"Admit it... 's a lil' funny..."
Aikein
"Caught between the two, his breath came slow and steady, the beg upon his lips but unable to leave... A whimper was their reward as they started ravaging..."
The words had him opening one of his eyes to stare up at his youngest son. "Riam..."
"Aunty Jazzy gave me something to read!" Riam beamed as he waved the datapad around. "I... don't understand it, but she said it was about you and Cocah and Papa!"
He was up within a moment, a frown upon his lips as he yanked the datapad from Riam to scan over it. A guttural growl left him at that point as his eyes narrowed, "Riam... go find your brother, hmm? I am sure Seino would enjoy your company..."
"But I wanted to spend time with..." His sentence wasn't finished as he saw the look upon Aikein's face, and he quickly scampered from the courtyard.
It was twenty minutes later that Aikein was slamming Kon against the wall of their apartment, biting at his neck before Praven was pinning him to the scruffy Jedi.
"Every. Single. Word..." Aikein growled as he rocked back against Praven. "We are doing every. Single. Word. In this story that she has written!"
Rexer
"You will not believe what I just found on the holonet!" Seino's voice has him sighing and looking up from the files he needs to fill out for the day. The young man is smiling... A smile that slightly sends a worried shiver up his spine.
"I'm... not sure I want to know..."
"It was posted anonymously! But damn... I didn't know you and Neil got that... kinky..." Seino whistled and Rezer blushed grandly.
"W-What?!" He cried out, grabbing the datapad that was in the younger man's hand. As he started reading word for word what was on the datapad, his face got more and more red, causing Seino's eyebrows to raise and a small smirk come to his lips as he tried to hold back the laughter.
Just as Neil walked into the room, calling out to the both of them that he was ready for lunch, Rexer made a distressed noise before fainting. Quickly rushing over and kneeling down, Neil looked up at Seino, who was back in possession of the datapad, "What the karkin' hell happened?"
"I guess reading about you two was too much for him..." Seino laughed at that point, shaking his head, and Neil grabbed the datapad from him and started reading.
"Well frak... Is there a camera around here or something? How would someone know I do that to him in here of all places?"
Tonti
It was rather funny. Whoever had written it really knew nothing about Cathar, and because of that... gave him a source of entertainment for the past hour that he had been reading the little story over and over again, laughing heartily. "Tonti?" Deni purred as she came into the room to check on him. "You alright?"
"Oh yes... just enjoying how horrible someone things Cathar are in bed... Yes, you can be quite the animal... but roaring? Really now! More like mewling and pleading..." He then was laughing and shaking his head. "Care to read this with me? It is rather entertaining... And maybe... maybe you would like to attempt some of this horrendous acts with me?"
Rexer.
Aka Bomber.
An amazing medtech. Known as bombs for the arm he has, able to throw Kolto bombs farther then anyone in his regiment was able to throw regular bombs of any sort.
Grew up on the battlefield in Balmorra. Father was a Republic soldier, mother a member of the resistance. Even when he was young, he was running supplies back and forth to military members, patching up easy wounds that he could with the measly supplies that he could steal from unsuspecting Imperial outposts that he’d run across or from dead bodies.
When old enough, he joined the military, becoming a medic just as his mother and father thought he would be.
It was two years after he left home that his mother was captured and killed. His father went into a state of depression and was discharged from the military, moved to Coruscant and became a drunk in hopes of forgetting the pain.
Rexer does all he can to keep his father going, sending him part of his paycheck, making regular visits to his apartment when he’s in Coruscant to make sure the place isn’t a complete mess and that it’s stocked with food and not just alcohol.
It’s hard, but someone has to do it, and he is the man’s son. Not to mention he does love his father.
The moment he came home to nothing but pain and disappointment was the moment his faith shattered.
"Pops! I’m back!" Silence met him as he allowed the door to slide shut. Beer cans and alcoholic bottles littered the floor, making it difficult for him to step over anything without tripping over it.
"Oi! Pops! I thought I told ya to spend your money on paying your bills, not alcohol this time!" The disappointment in his voice his volatile, almost desperate in a sense. He then sighed, closing his tealish eyes, "Well, you’re lucky I brought you some groceries…"
There was still silence in the apartment, and his frown grew as he placed the bags of food on the counter after swatting bottles and cans off of it. “Pops?” He called once more, apprehension filling him as he pulled his blaster from it’s holster at his side.
He remembered his parents saying how much they loved him, how proud of him they were. He remembered their smiling faces, their warm embraces.
Moving back the hallway slowly towards the bedroom, he noticed the smear upon the wall. Dark red, almost brown. Dry. A metallic smell was in the air, one he was quite familiar with, and his stomach seized up on him at that point.
"Pops?" His voice was quiet, almost as if he was that little boy again, worried if he’d make the trip from one end of the battlefield to the other without stepping on a mine.
Still, no answer. And upon opening the door to the bedroom, his heart stopped for a brief second before crashing and feeling as if it was being ripped to pieces. There was his father, laying on the bed, sheets coated in blood, wrists slashed, and a datapad a little ways off from the scene, bloody fingerprints coating it.
Instinct kicked in as he dropped his blaster and ran forward, crying out his father’s name as he sunk to his knees, placed a hand to the older man’s throat to feel for a pulse. None. There was nothing. He placed his ear to the man’s chest, tears falling down his cheeks as he desperately tried to listen for a heartbeat. Nothing. A sob left his throat at that point.
"If you’re listening to this, kid, it means I wasn’t strong enough in your absence to continue going on. Not your fault, alright? I know that’s the first thing that’s going to go through your mind. Not you… Today is going to be hard… really hard… It’s… It’s the day of your mother’s death… Plan on going to lite a candle for her.
If I’m not strong enough, I’m coming back and ending it. It’s been so hard without your mother. It hurts, kid. Hurts so much that I can’t keep going on. Even the alcohol isn’t helping anymore.
Just know that we both love you. That we love you so much and we’re so incredibly proud of you. You’ve become such an amazing medic, one the Republic should be proud to have…”
The voice of his father had him turning his head to look at the datapad that was playing a sound file.
“You’ve taken care of me for four years, and I’ve been horrible towards you, ungrateful. That ends now, kiddo. You don’t have to do that anymore, alright? I know I don’t say it, and I should, so I’m going to say it now… You’re amazing, alright? And I love you. You make your old man proud…”
He couldn’t stand to hear it, couldn’t stand to see his father’s limp and cold body and hear his voice as if he was right there alive. He quickly stopped the file and slid to the floor, pulling out his holo and dialing a number as he desperately tried to hold back sobs.
Upon the person picking up on the other end, he let loose the sob he had been holding, “H-Hey… I… I need you right now…”
"Aikein!" The bellow did nothing to stop the snarling man from darting forward towards the little Mirialan that had started running away from him, and Konur cursed himself as he rushed after them trying to pull Aikein from his triggered state through their bond. "Aikein! Stop! He’s our son!"
As lightsaber thrust through back and chest, Konur watched in horror as Riam arched his back, eyes wide in absolute pain and fear. A wave of powerful Force sent the former Sith sprawling as Rexer came forward, glaring and looking absolutely irate.
"Master Doljinti!" He screamed, hands clenching into fists down at his sides as he tried to control his anger and absolute anguish of the pain he knew Riam was going through.
"Take care of Riam!" Kon yelled out as he lunged at Aikein just as the man went to lunge for Rexer. "Please!"
Lightsabers hummed, clashed, burned the air as the two Jedi found hard against one another. One no longer present within his mind while the other desperately trying to bring him back.
"Rexer!" The Former trooper’s head snapped towards where he heard the voice, only to see Neil kneeling down by Riam’s unmoving body… unmoving body…
“No!” He yelled out, rushing over and falling to his knees, placing fingers to the boy’s neck to feel for a pulse.
"He’s… I couldn’t find one, Rexer," Neil shook his head quietly, looking so forlorn and saddened.
"No I won’t allow it!" Rexer shook his head, closing his eyes and placing his hands over the wound in Riam’s chest. "You’re not going to die on me! You’re not going to leave us! No! I don’t allow it!"
He pulled upon everything he had, a visible shine appearing around him as he concentrated upon pushing the Force into Riam’s chest to mend the damage that had been done to the kid’s heart.
Sweat started to pour down his brow, and Neil worried that he was going to overdo it, but if there was a chance to reverse what had happened in some way, he would allow it.
Damage fixed to the best of his ability for the time being, he carefully wrapped the Force around Riam’s heard, pumping it gently to get it to start. As he could feel the thump-thump of the organ starting to once again do it’s job, a sigh left his lips as he collapsed backwards, only to have Neil catch him and hold him tightly.
"Thank you," Neil whispered to him, and Rexer hugged him back shakily.
"I wasn’t going to let him stay dead… Not when there was something I could do to change it," Rexer shook his head.
"The two of you take Riam to the healers so they can finish up," Kon grunted as he pinned Aikein to the ground, leaning his body back as the former Sith tried to bite him. "I’ll deal with Aikein! Go! Now!"
"Let me go, Rex," Neil growled, eyes narrowing as he stared at the smaller Mirialan in his way to exiting their dorm room. "I’m gonna kriffin’ kill him for even sayin’ that to a fellow Balmorran!”
"No," Rexer simply stated, shaking his head. "you’ll get kicked out of the Academy… and then where will we be?”
"Who cares?” Neil bellowed out, trying to push Rexer from in front of him, only to have one side of a pair of vibrocuffs latch around his wrist.
“I care,” Rexer shook his head as he held up his hand in a fist, showing that the other side of the cuffs was attached to him. “And seeing as the key to these cuffs is locked away in the dean’s office… I think we’ll be spending quite a bit of quality time together, don’t you agree?” The grin that came to his lips had Neil glaring at him.
"Seriously… unhook these now…"
"Like I said… the key is in the dean’s office," Rexer’s smirk grew even more. "Now c’mon… let’s watch the huttball game, yeah? I hear that it’s gonna be a killer this time!"
"Rexer?" Neil grumbled as he clenched his fists.
"Yeah Neil?" Rexer asked, looking rather innocent.
"Sometimes I could throttle you…"
"And sometimes you could hug me, I know, I know," he replied as he pulled on the cuffs. "Now c’mon! I don’t want to miss the start of the match!"
He couldn’t keep his eyes open any longer. Their day had been too long, his especially. The amount of injured from Nina’s training sessions was immense. Who would have known that the young woman could pack a kick like she could, or had the skills that she did.
So as the movie continued on, he found himself teetering on the edge of his dreams, eyes sliding closed as he used Neil as a pillow. A very comfortable pillow, one that’s heartbeat was even and slow, calm, caring, and rhythmic. Entrancing.
Thump, thump. Whomp. Thump, thump. Whomp.
The pattern was enough to have him sagging and melting against the vanguard he had come to love immensely. And just as his body started shutting down for that sleep period, he heard Neil’s amused voice as a hand ran through his hair, “Bomber, Bomber, Bomber…”
"Boom, boom, boom…" He sighed out peacefully, hands gripping Neil’s shirt a little more to keep close to him before he then was lost to the waking world, and Neil couldn’t help but chuckle, "Still habit…"
