Chapter Summary:

“Curious, isn't it? The places we call ‘verity’ are often the ones that hide something.”  

Katsumi turned abruptly. A short distance away, an elegantly dressed figure was staring at the island with a pensive, almost melancholic expression. She wore a long black coat and had long, flowing golden hair, which remained composed despite being blown by the wind

Still haunted by strange nightmares and premonitions, Katsumi arrives at the shores of Lake Verity, following the advice given to him by Professor Elm. Here, he meets a mysterious blonde woman who seems to know him better than he knows himself. Furthermore, something resembling a mirage appears before his eyes. With his head more confused than before, Katsumi then goes to Rowan's laboratory, where they are attacked by a rather unruly Alpha specimen, and here an unlikely ally helps him face this frightening adversary.

Story Summary:

ShinRa's reach is as long as the shadow it casts. They would do anything for power. Even conscript teenagers into their military.

After the events of a power outage in Modeoheim, the Turks come knocking on the Alves family's door demanding the father to release Celsi to their custody, finding her to be a viable candidate for SOLDIER.

Her life spirals out of her control as she struggles to come to terms with her new occupation. Along the way she befriends an over eager young Zack Fair, and finds a reason to stay engaged with the world thanks to him.

But life in the sun cannot last and one by one the pieces will fall, bringing her world crashing to the ground.

Chapter Summary:

No longer in the familiar comfort of her home in Modeoheim, Celsi wakes up in the hospital wing of the ShinRa Building. Her new, terrifying reality starts to set in, and she must come to terms with the fact that she has little choice but to work for ShinRa.

Two of SOLDIER's finest greet her, and help her come to grips with facts. Will she find the strength to stand tall, or will she succumb to the dark?
