this was originally for make a terrible comic day but i was really tired that day and then a week passed and i put too much effort into this for it to be considered terrible, so. i guess it's just a random comic posted on a random day.

Archimago (The Faerie Queene by Edmund Spenser)
Stubborn mage with a tendency to overcompensate and overreact. Grew up in the Outskirts and is seeking his lost mentor in The City.
Redcrosse (The Faerie Queene by Edmund Spenser)
A valiant former Dieci Member looking to return to his lover with a renewed sense of chivalry after his stint in Limbus. Trusting to a fault.
Daisy (The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald)
A glamorous and unconcerned-with-others Sinner who knows a lot more than she's willing to let on. Harbors a strong hatred for the Ring.
Julia (1984 by George Orwell)
A former N Corp. desk worker who prefers to keep to herself and seek revenge against a Taboo Hunter. Highly skeptical and distrusting.
Robbie (I, Robot by Isaac Asimov)
Previously a butler for a high ranking family. Currently carries no memories of his past life and acts incredibly robotlike as a result, like a tool rather than a person.
Prospero (Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allen Poe)
The Distorted manager of the branch with amnesia. Limbus hopes by making him see The City it will jog his memory and help lower how dangerous he is as a Distortion.
Operator (Emergency Skin by N.K. Jemisin)
A remote operator that acts as both the branch's guide and driver. Incredibly opinionated and rude. Was tasked by a group outside of The City with studying it and reporting back, so his deal with Limbus is on the basis he'll get to see it all.
