i wish there were more games like okami - and i say this from a therian perspective even though i also just adore everything about it beyond that. like, why do 99% of games have to be person? and then of the games where you are an animal/creature/wtvr, a lot of them are explicitly about being an animal - like shelter where you are mama critter protecting your babies, or the isle where its just "survive as dino". i dont hate these games - shelter was super fun - but theyre just. not what im looking for

i want more games with deep and rich storylines where you ALSO happen to be an animal, like okami! i also really like how a handful of spyro games do this (i specifically remember loving the shit out of spyro: dawn of the dragon), but a lot of em just feel too platformer-y to me. loz:tp was also great during the portions where you could play as wolf!link but i wish you could do more in your wolf form

again looking at okami; yeah im out here to fight demons and save people n stuff; but i also wanna bark and run around in circles chasing my tail. its fun

also yes i know stuff like skyrim has furries you can play as buT THATS NOT THE SAME! furries are cool as hell but in a game theyre functionally exactly the same as playing a human character! i wanna run around on all fours and BITES PEOPLE! if im a dragon, gimme a breath weapon that i have to use sometimes to progress the story!!! lemme be a creachure!
