THE FINAL GIRL. the final girl comes out the other end of trauma alive - or, they were supposed to. honestly, you're not so sure you're really alive anymore. you saw the same hurt take those you were closest to while everyone paraded your bruises as bravery, as strength, as if you're the hero. and it hurts. you're tired and you don't want to have to be brave anymore. whatever you went through, it changed so much of who you were that you're still getting used to the person you see in the mirror. you didn't have a say in any of it, but you're here now, and that's gotta count for something. you'll make it count for something. but first, you need to let yourself find rest.
THE GHOST. it's an odd thing, to feel so far from grounded and yet trapped, tethered, unable to escape. there's more you have to do! so why can't you move? i'm sure you have an answer to that, at the very least in the back of your mind. people love to say that ghosts hold grudges or haunt for revenge but they always get it wrong; you're stuck because something or someone chained you down and left you there. you try and reach out to all those bright people who pass through your life, but it rarely feels like it does much more than knock a cup off the table, blow some papers into the air. i need you to trust me - they see it. they're listening. they'll keep looking for you and, eventually, they'll be able to see you too.
THAT WHICH CANNOT BE KNOWN. oh god. how did it come to this? to some extent, you've gone so far past your own idea of "human" that it must be kind of fun, right? maybe. i'm not sure. as an artifact of cosmic horror, you're wild and wacky and colorful and people are probably drawn to that, but you will never let them known you. the mystery intrigues for a while, but it'll wear everyone down. it'll wear you down, too. who are you? do you remember? are you so far gone that you can't go back? and maybe that's the most tragic thing of all - become so distorted in your identity, and for so long, that no matter how hard you want to return you can't ever seem to figure it out. but you've learned a vast amount up in the stars, and people will work hard to get to know you. it doesn't matter who you used to be. sometimes, you should just start from scratch: give yourself a name, a birthday. let someone celebrate these things with you.

type six (the loyalist)
Sixes are often called Loyalists. They get their name from the fact that they are the most reliable, faithful and, you guessed it, loyal of all types. They are dependable, steadfast, kind and graced with a witty sense of humor. Sixes are the guardian angels and careful skeptics of this world, always prepared and always thinking ahead. They care about the common good and often see what the rest of us are blind to.
Sixes are very capable and competent. They put a lot of work into honing their skills. They work hard and take their time doing things the right way. Despite their worries about potential disasters, they are actually very courageous and competent when in a crisis. On the flip side, Sixes initially find it hard to trust people and can’t get out of their head, thinking about what could go wrong at any second. Sixes...use their mind to constantly scan for danger and try to manage their anxieties this way.
Sixes pick up the message in their childhood that the world is dangerous and that they can’t trust their authority figures to create safety for them. So they become attuned to small cues for anything that might be threatening, and they protect themselves by trying to predict every threat and danger possible. Throughout their lives, they keep looking for authority figures who can provide them with the security they never felt growing up, while at the same time staying in an ambivalent relationship to that authority because of their abused trust.
It is no surprise that it makes sense for Sixes to worry a lot. Sixes are constantly struggling against the fear that the world will crumble around them if they aren’t prepared and sufficiently secure.
type five (the investigator)
Fives like to understand things. Like squirrels stockpiling for the winter, they collect knowledge and information with a boundless curiosity. They use their mind to observe and investigate whatever fascinates them. Fives always try to base their decisions on reason and knowledge. They don’t get easily overwhelmed by their emotions, but instead detach from them and analyze them to understand what’s going on.
Fives profit immensely from their ability to focus without their emotions getting in the way. They stay calm and collected when everyone else has already run up the wall. The other side of this coin is that they often have trouble sharing themselves. Naturally private, they are much better at taking in information than offering up anything intimate about themselves to others, fearing it will only allow others to make too many demands on them. Fives try to analyze their fear of being drained, reduce the space they take up in the world, make themselves small and hope their objectivity will keep them from getting swallowed up by the world.
As children, each of us initially experiences the world as mysterious, fascinating and simply overwhelming. For Fives, this feeling never truly goes away. For one reason or another, they pick up the message that they are fundamentally ill-equipped to handle the complexities of life. Because of that, they try to make up for this lack by becoming extremely competent and knowledgeable in their chosen field.
type seven (the enthusiast)
Sevens are cheerful and pragmatic people who spend a lot of their time focusing on the next amazing experience. They are spontaneous and bold and don’t quickly accept limitations to their curiosity.
Among the amazing gifts of Sevens is their belief in the positive sides of people and their ideas. They like to encourage others to try out new things and pursue their dreams, just like they do themselves. But their desire for constant stimulation can often lead them into over-indulgence. Their inability to face up the less positive sides of life also makes it hard for them to commit when things get hard and to own up to their mistakes, instead of spinning them into something entertaining. Sevens, who from the outside look very pragmatic, try to distract their minds from the lingering feeling of the darker things hidden underneath their sunny exterior.
Many Sevens report that there was a certain lack of nurture in their childhood. The feeling that no one else would ultimately take care of them made them develop the strategy of keeping themselves happy and entertained. Without the basic security of knowing they are provided for, they choose anything that comes their way to provide them with happiness and contentment, even if it’s only fleeting.
The main struggle of Sevens is looking for happiness outside themselves. This puts them in danger of becoming insatiable, since nothing they do, no matter how exciting and fulfilling it is in their mind, ever actually keeps them satisfied for long.
type three (the performer)
Type Three is the type that usually looks the most impressive when observed from the outside. They are charming, attractive and seem to have it all together at all times. They work hard, and in fact can seem to still be "on the job," even in their off-time. Threes can be very inspiring, and they usually don’t have trouble having lots of admirers.
Threes know how to get things done quickly, efficiently and with the most chance for success. They know how to sell themselves, and basically anything else too. They have an amazing eye for what other people want and then turn into the person that can give them exactly that. Behind their glittering appearance, however, Threes are goaded by a relentless driver that is never satisfied with their achievements, always demanding more. Other people get the sense that not everything can be as glamorous as Threes present it, which lets them appear superficial, hollow and inauthentic. Threes are afraid they aren’t worthy of love if they don’t perform better than everyone else.
During childhood, Threes have picked up the message that their value depended on whether they met the expectations of others. Love could only be earned with doing things that met those standards, so Threes have tried to become the perfect prototype of the golden child. In order to function on that level, they had to put their emotions to the side. Having your own identity and definition of what was necessary to earn love was not okay anymore. So they learned to always try to be the best, and if they couldn’t get there, they learned that pretending they were could get them just as far.
That’s why the main struggle of Type Threes is honesty and authenticity. They have spent so much of their life being who other people needed them to be that they don’t even know who they are when nobody is looking.

loud music. laughing at bad horror movies. comfort through sitting in silence together. deep, intricate forests and dark shades of green and purple. your best feature is probably a birthmark, or maybe your nose. you often look stoic, but when you do smile, it lights up your whole face. you're observant. you probably have a soft spot for kids. for someone who looks so scary, you have this innate way of making people feel so safe. you're a natural protector. you just want people to have it better than you did. your kindness is subtle. not everyone will see it. but it's the cause of so much healing. even more than you can see.
