Adventurous Orange: 5 Fab Orange Lip Colors Before Summer’s Over!
Orange is the color of spontaneity, optimism and warmth. I like every color there is but orange used to be something I wouldn’t touch with a 10-foot pole.
Ironically, it’s a very flattering color and also very fun to wear.
Here are 5 shades from very warm (almost red) to more neutral (orange-toned beige/peach). If you look at the swatch image above, you can make a choice of what shade to go for in 2 ways:
Skintone: (L-to-R) Darker skin tone to lighter skin tone. It DOESN’T mean that if you’re dark-skinned you can’t wear something lighter, and if you’re light-skinned you can’t wear something darker, but it would be easier to pull off.
Warm to Cool: Shades on the left (Morange and Beta) are closest to red and shades on the right (Electric Grandma and Peachy Pink) are closest to nude/pink. The center-most shade is the most “pure” orange and the most bright and dramatic-looking on the skin. Shades on the left and right will look a little less dramatic since red and nude/pink are generally common lip colors; pure oranges like My Beautiful Rocket a little less so.
