For long distance shore casting I prefer ass heavy “rear weighted” jigs & plugs for maximum distancing. Jigs I use the new Zippy Jigs by Mustad Hooks. The shape also makes it “flutter” down between cranks. Plugging I use Patrick Seville’s Ocean Born lures by A Band of Anglers for Long Distance plugging. POP “Pacific Ocean Producers” at Pier#38 in Honolulu has a decent selection at good prices.
