I am extremely thankful to be a member of a church that always prioritizes its outreach efforts. This holiday season, I had the pleasure of participating in both the Inmate Children Gift Giving Project and Operation Christmas Child. . The Inmate Children Gift Giving Project gives special Christmas gifts to children whose fathers are incarcerated. I was assigned to a sweet toddler girl and gifted her a Minnie-themed ride on toy. . Operation Christmas Child provides shoeboxes full of various presents to children in third world countries. I gifted a doll, school supplies, plastic dinnerware, stickers, coloring books, beauty items, and more to a little girl between the ages of 5 and 9. . Both of these efforts reminded me to not take the blessings in my life for granted. We all have moments when we fall short of truly appreciating our family members, friends, homes, the clothes we wear on our backs, etc. Many of us do not think twice about blinking our eyes and eating on our own, complain about getting up early to go to work, and roll our eyes when there is no service on our smartphones. . I am the first to admit that I forget about my blessings, even the ones that may seem small or automatic. I am grateful to the Inmate Children Gift Giving Project and Operation Christmas Child for educating me upon consistently being appreciative for everyone and everything that I have in my life. . . . @njinternationalpageant @intlpageants @next_paige_productions @jscalvary @operationchristmaschild #inmatechildrengiftgivingproject #njinternationalpageant #intlpageants #missoceancountyinternational #oceancountystrong #spreadinggodslove #christmastime #christmascheer #merrychristmas #giveback #actsofkindness (at Jersey Shore Calvary Chapel) https://www.instagram.com/p/B6uXY5LHGOT/?igshid=etgnstdy24nd
