Sun wasn't exactly sure why he had sent the text. It was really none of his business of what his teammates did with their personal lives, even when it came down to 'being an item' with someone and he didn't know it. The rumor had spread like wild fire, well of course it did, it dealt with the heiress of the Schnee Dust company being an item with someone, and that someone had to be Neptune.

When he first heard the rumor he took it with a grain of salt, knowing Neptune for as long as he did the other flirted with basically everyone, not that it bothered the blond, that was just Neptune. Who was he to tell him to stop? He was only his team leader and long time friend, nothing that important to demand that he just stop being who he was.

Of course, the rumor kept coming up around the halls of Beacon, the faunus hearing it at least 3 times before he made it to his actual class. It irked him to no end. Not because that he was with her-- no he wasn't with her-- but because Neptune didn't even tell him about it. Sun told him about his interest in Blake, shouldn't he know about Neptune's interest in Weiss? They were friends damn it!

As soon as class ended he whipped out his phone, mind already working on how he was going to word this text out. It was simple, nothing too wordy, nothing too detailed... Though, he hoped it sounded the least bit jealous. I'm not jealous, he told himself, hitting send and soon shoved his phone back into his pocket without another thought.

When the reply came he didn't respond automatically, instead just staring down at it trying to understand what the hell he meant by yet. Was he seriously going to pursue the ice princess? Was she even interested in him? Well shit, of course she was, Neptune was good-looking, tall, tan... Wait, why the hell do you care?, he thought, fingers now typing out a response. You should be happy for him, Sun. A grumble escaped him. Even if it's with someone else.
