Scarlet: Favorite book? Ooh, that’s a tough one. I think I have to answer Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. It’s an amazing read; semi-biographical about the eight years the author spent in Mumbai, India. It’s got everything; humor, suspense, romance, tragedy, crime. I adored it from beginning to end. I laughed, I cried, I shaked my fist at this book. I even got my grandfather (who’s 80, btw) to read it, and he loved it. When I read books, and especially books set in foreign countries, I tend to fall in love with the place if it’s described well. I think my love affair with Mumbai is a never ending one, the city has been on my bucket list since reading the book. But I digress - please check out Shantaram! And then come to me and talk about it :)
