Rini blinked the last remnants of sleep away as her sister curled up against her arm. Twisting under the covers, she turned to Bunny, a question in her ruby gaze as she fumbled to find her hand in the dark.
❝What’s wrong? Did you have another nightmare?❞ she asked, knowing all too well the nightmares that plagued them both. It had been like that since the Black Moon Clan’s devastating attack on Crystal Tokyo, and though that was long in the past now, the effects of that day still stayed with them both.
Bunny’s only response was a mute nod, her grip on her sister’s arm tightening just a little.
❝It’s okay,❞ Rini soothed, her other hand reaching out to brush a pink curl away from Bunny’s forehead. ❝Everything is okay now. I won’t let anything bad happen to you.❞
