So usually there will be two different versions of an Odd Squad episode when the math lesson is about measurement or money (imperial vs metric system). But this episode doesn't focus on either of those things, and so in theory it doesn't need two different scripts. And yet it does. In particular, the UK version mentions Olga for some reason while the American, Canadian, and Australian versions do not mention Olga at all.

hi! sorry for the random approach. I just recently got back into odd squad due to an unexpected wave of nostalgia and your account is one of the few that had posted something under the odd squad tag somewhat recently.

I hope you don’t mind if I ask something—so I found out that oddtube exists like yesterday, but I think that the tvo kids and pbs kids versions are different actually ?? like the one where otis fills in, I’m canadian and the tvo kids version ends after he plays the music. I only found out that there’s a whole segment where he dances thanks to your videos on youtube actually! (all the pbs videos are restricted to the us only, I believe, so I can’t see them).

so I was wondering, would you happen to know if there are any other differences between the two versions? I have a feeling that the “your questions” episodes might have some variation bc I found some comments on a different video about odd squad talking about some info from those episodes that I don’t remember seeing.

anyway this is all super unimportant and kind of silly, no worries if you don’t want to answer! just thought I’d give asking a shot because I am knees deep in this sudden odd squad obsession and the fandom doesn’t seem too active haha

I would like to note that this ask was sent on May 22th. And today is August 28th. But yes, 3 months later I finally completed this video!! It shows all the differences btwn the pbs kids and tvo kids version of OddTube Season 1 (the one with Olympia). Tvo kids basically left out a lot of things from the pbs kids version but also included some stuff not seen in the pbs kids version. It's really fascinating. Thank you for sending in this ask bc I would have never realized that there were so many differences btwn the two! Anyway hope you enjoy 38 mins of OddTube :)
