MOLI - On the Weekend
Born to British and South African parents in Belgium, Molly Irvine (MOLI), the now Berlin-based songstress now finds herself to as no stranger to collaboration since relocating. Her latest single “On the Weekend”, written as an homage to Berlin’s party kids, recently found itself picked up for a remix by Kyle Kaplan and Vinnie Pergola of Los Angeles-based outfit Phantoms. A captivating number noted by its magnetic aura, the sauntering disco track features glimmering synth anachronisms that overlay MOLI’s crystalline echo and the sultry lush of her vocal ooze. For its remix treatment, the track finds itself under an accelerated pace where its euphoric qualities are magnified through emphasis of its disco strings and through its selective vocal cuts of MOLI’s sensual gaze.
