because my mom is stressed to hell about my family’s money issues and worried about what’s going to happen to her when my dad dies, my dad is...ok but certainly not well and doesn’t need this foisted on him now, my brother is constantly stressed and enormously depressed, it’s just MORE SHIT that i can’t justify laying on these people who never did anything wrong to me.

idk, I would just sit inside the feeling for a while. I know that gay trans guys often identified as lesbians before they knew they were trans. And Katrina used to think she was into dudes for a minute. Sometimes you're just really queer and you know it. It's OK to feel unsure about your feelings. Your attractions are good and healthy and real, even if they feel confusing sometimes.

yeah! and that’s a thing where like....ngl i do that! but i get that like, you gotta understand how guilt-trippy it is and that if you fuck up in some small way and get really performative to the person about your guilt and what a bad person you are (even if you really believe it), when you do something REALLY fucked up? they’re not gonna feel safe telling you.
and it’s hard! it’s hard to not go into crisis mode and think you’re a bad person when you fuck up. but you just cannot put it on the other person and make it so they then have to shuttle their problem to reassure you. that’s fucked up and it’s wrong.
but most people i’ve known who do that kind of do it on purpose.

I know so many people who live with their parents, it’s honestly not a big deal to other people. Like 30% of 27 year olds do it now.
