Siblings: An older sister named Giselle.

Background: Odette was born into a middle-class family, living with her parents and older sister Giselle. From a young age, she showed an aptitude towards dance and was signed up to her first ballet class at the age of four.

She excelled at this and was eventually accepted into the New York Academy of Ballet. Even going on to guest perform as Clara in a ballet companies production of The Nutcracker. For a time, it even seemed like Odette had a promising dance career ahead of her.

This comes to an end when during a family road trip when a car accident leaves Odette as the sole survivor and her dreams of a ballet career in the dust.

  Odette is then placed into the care of her adopted aunt. Despite Claudia's attempts to rebuild her niece's life away from her ruined dreams, Odette feels lost struggling to find her place in Seattle and in her sister's old school, feeling like she's been slotted into her sister's place. Determined to do what's best for her, Claudia's decides to move them away from the bustling city to the quiet town of Forks.
