Finally, after 4 years of some of hardest times in my life, I have my degree and a month of reprieve.

Just got done talking with a recruiter for a company I have dreamed of working for and it went so well!

Remember: PERSISTENCE IS KEY. It took 3 emails before she even responded and another 5 to find a time to talk. Verbatim from her mouth, " Most recruiters I know use email as a test to see who actually wants the job. You passed with flying colors." Also, thank you emails can be what put you over the edge of someone else. ALWAYS send them!

I think the reason I enjoy money so much is the level of control I feel. Control that I will never be able to feel regarding the rest of my life, especially as a woman of color. financial news, decisions, and actions are black and white. You either make money or you don't.
