Just because Hope was a grown adult didn’t mean she didn’t still do things she did as a teen. For instance, once she conned a man on the road out of a pack of cigarettes, flirting with him to get them while Sam was in the bathroom. It was too easy, he was willing to offer her anything to trick her into joining him for the day. She would never do that, of course, but it was nice to get free cigs.
So, there she was, sitting on a dusty rooftop as the morning sun peaked over the horizon. Hope knew she could have gone to a number of cleaner spots to watch the sun rise. But, something about abandoned buildings just out of the city limits made her feel like that giddy teen, sneaking out to see her boyfriend in places like this, again. The hybrid missed feeling like the whole world was laid out before her, and moments like this brought it back.
Of course, until they were interrupted. Heaving a low sigh, she rolled her eyes as she stood with the front portion of her body pressed against the stone ledge of the building. “The sunrise is like a promise every day for new beginnings, don’t you think?” The question was innocent enough, but depending on the answeree it could be packed.
“What is there to do on a boring Monday night?”
“I love my job, don’t get me wrong but I really start wondering about my career choices when it comes time for August and September weddings and planning December ones. It really takes a lot out of a person.”
"Well it’s seemed like forever since I’ve been out. I sort of lost myself to Netflix and no one bothered to save me. I’d say my bad but that was some good relax time.”
“What was that noise? Who’s there?”
“They always say things happen for a reason. So I’m going to sit here and actually enjoy myself. Got a problem with that?” Hayley sighed before looking down.
Since the run in with the guy who stole every ounce of innocence from her, Noelle had been on a self made mission to reclaim some of it and plan ahead for one of her favorite holidays. It was about time she gave into her genes and seriously try to start practicing magic. If only to protect herself, if only for her Halloween idea. At least it was two good reasons to do it. Thing was, she hadn’t a clue where to start and going to anyone in her family seemed like a bad idea since it would lead to questioning. So instead, outside the big old cemetery, the petite blonde worked on simply controlling her powers via candle lighting. Simple, Easy, But effective. Little did she know, She wasn’t alone though.
