Hey, I noticed that Odysse is the slowest to load of all video sites, even vids that look and work like YT from 2008 don't have that many problems

Yes, this is one of the disadvantages of Odysse that I see (Besides cryptocurrencies…)

Peertube, on the other hand, has a limit on the GB you can have on a channel, so yes, it is a disadvantage of peertube

So yes, the best alternative to YT right now is… Vidlii…

I use all of them (including YT), but these are my current observations

When it comes to reach, YT is doing the best, which probably doesn't surprise anyone

So yes, Odysse has problems with loading pages and Peertube has a GB limi

Here is a list of my problems with video platforms:

Youtube: Subtitles are broken (you translate automatically and they disappear), and on top of that, every decision made by Google sucks, give me back the fucking annotations and other fun features, they took them away and YouTube lost its identity, because before it was closer to nico nico, but today… Well, it looks like shit, politics are like shit, but unfortunately, you have a better chance of reaching and earning money than others, so you have to endure it

Peertube: No automatic subtitles, which prevents you from watching foreign creators, yes, it's a cool fediverse, but something is missing, that little spark, this is unfortunately a common problem with fediverse, because they are mainly copies of platforms from corporations, which makes them seem sterile, they have potential, but a lot is missing

Odysee: Cryptocurrencies… A typical disease of video platforms that are not YouTube

CDA: Former Pirate Site + If you want to hate Poles, I recommend it because it has enough problems in the comments

Rumble: If you want to jump out of a window because of anti-woke and other bullshit, I recommend this

NicoNico: Looks like a great platform, but language barriers might be your downfall

DTube: Like Odysee, the disease called cryptocurrencies

Apparently there are also Dailymotion and Vimeo, but I don't know what to say about them…

So, this is what I think about these platforms (Many of them are unknown, so maybe someone will be interested)
