Hi, I'm Sayuri. Please call me Sayu!  I like listening to American music and watching Netflix.  My goal throughout this study abroad program is to challenge myself to something I've never experienced before every single day! 

Hi, I'm Hitomi. Please call me Hitomi :)  I like dancing classical ballet, so I belong to Waseda Ballet circle!  Through this OEAP program, I want to brush up my English skills and enjoy my time and stay with my host family.

Hi, I'm Ayumi. Please call me Ayumi!  I like playing tennis, listening to and singing songs, and eating!  Through this program, I want to improve my English skills by communicating with the local people! 

Hi, I'm Teppei.  I love animals but especially chihuahuas! I always hope good things for their health.  I also love Japan, mainly because Japan is the greatest country!  In the future, I really want to live long enough to see the future of this country.  My hobby is cooking and I would like to become a chef! 

Hi, my name is Julia! Please call me Julia.  Some of my favorite things are Disneyland and taking photos! I also love shopping for clothes and shoes.  Throughout this study abroad program, I would like to hone my communication skills using English and study more business related vocabularies!

I’m going to start a new series this week! It’s called Odottemita Editing Appreciation Post. In each post, I’m going to introduce one video with remarkable editing by showing some screenshots of it and writing a short “analysis” of some of my personal highlights. I won’t mention all of them, just a few to make you curious enough to watch the video and appreciate the amazing editing a bit more^^

As to why I want to start the series: I think that great editing in odottemita videos is often underappreciated, especially in videos that don’t have many views. The things that I show and mention are obvious of course, but seeing them in screenshots and a few words shows how much work and thought goes into them. (Even I learn to appreciate them more as I make these posts!) Also, I don’t think there are many people who really care who edits videos, so it would be nice if you could remember some of the names of the amazing editors.

I plan on uploading one post per week, but it might also be 2 posts because there are just so many videos I want to introduce^^ And making these posts doesn’t take as much time as the Get to Know Odorite series. You can also recommend videos for the series (but please note that these are not requests).

One more thing, I’m going to blur the odorite in the screenshots (partly to put the focus on the editing and partly for the same reason I blur other screenshots of NND videos whenever I post them here).

Cisco OfficeExtend (OEAP) Firewall Rules

I remember I had some dramas getting the OfficeExtend APs initially set up, so here are the firewall rules you need to get the Cisco OfficeExtend access points (OEAP) working. The setup assumes you have a DMZ controller which will have mobility anchors into the internal or "Inside" controller.

Internet -> "DMZ" WLC UDP 5246/5247   (for OEAP communication) DMZ Controller <-> Inside Controller: UDP 16666/16667 Bidirectional to "Inside" WLC and "DMZ" WLC IP Protocol 97 Bidirectional to "Inside" WLC and "DMZ" WLC

DMZ Controller -> Inside Controller: UDP 1812/1813 to RADIUS Server

Inside Network -> DMZ Controller: TCP 80/443  (for http/https access) TCP 22 (for SSH access)

If you have a Wireless Control System server (WCS) or Cisco NCS Prime -> DMZ Controller: UDP 69  (for TFTP) UDP 161 (for SNMP)

I spent some time a year or so back getting it going and it has been a good solution for extending the corporate wireless lans to wherever it is required. Obviously, security should be of concern so at least ensure you are securing the WLANs using certificates, RADIUS and AD authentication (WPA2 Enterprise) at minimum.

In my case the 602 model AP can provide 2 WLANs as well as a "Remote LAN" connection which I use to plug in a Cisco IP phone for those that want a hard phone coupled with the AP. Be careful of the remote lan port - it essentially is a port that is tunneled straight onto your inside network (which is why the phone works).
