Early in the morning, when the sun hadn't quite risen to Emprise du Lion, Michel trudged from his living quarters and stepped out into the harsh of the environment. The puffs of swirling breath dotted his sight as he took a quick glance across the snowy landscape. He barely recognized the cold, now. It was somewhat of a complacent acceptance he'd come to understand over time. It was his punishment.
