So, Other Friends!Reality, (who can be found here: @toomanyillusions ), has a few reasons for continuing to search for Sabre.

The biggest reason is also why she keeps not wanting to talk about her search in the first place. She just... is really bad with peer pressure-

She CAN return to The Steve Saga, but she won't until she can drag Sabre back with her since that was the reason she set out in the first place. Eveyrone expects her to come back either with Sabre, or news that he's dead or something similar. Knowing that he's fine and alive in another server (Rainbow Quest), Reality doesn't want to come back and disappoint by not having Sabre with her.

Then, there's also the issue with Illusion still being fused with Galaxy as Reality. Galaxy won't let her leave the server until they get Sabre, which is another issue since Sabre doesn't want to go back and wants nothing to do with Reality (and has gone as far as to pretend he doesn't know Reality either). Since Reality is the one with the account, if they unfuse with it, only one of them would be left with access to the account and the other would be stuck in that server if the other left.

Although Illusion has considered it a lot, she isn't going to ditch Galaxy there with Sabre. Only because that would upset everyone back at The Steve Saga, though, otherwise she might've tbh

SO, the Other Friends AU was inspired by the song "Other Friends" from Steven Universe: The Movie.

Basically, it's a continuation of my Alt Saga AU, where Sabre left the server to start Rainbow Quest, but didn't warn anyone. Everyone thinks that he got kidnapped, was killed, or something else happened. Illusion and a few others had the idea of him leaving the server, so they came up with an idea to find him. They rebuilt the machine used to give Rainbow Steve a username and the ability to server-hop and had Illusion fuse back with Galaxy. Now being Reality, the machine was used on them and they were able to leave the server. The idea of being Reality again was suggested by Guardian and Alex, seeing as they had the most experience with leaving the server.

So, they left the world, and guess what they found? Another singleplayer world that wasn't there the last time Reality left The Steve Saga. They went in and was very surprised to find themself not disintegrating. They were even more surprised to find out that not only was Sabre and alive and well, but he was running around with new steves and didn't seem to feel a fraction of the worry about the steves back in The Steve Saga as they did towards him.

Reality quickly got ticked off, seeing that Sabre ditched them and didn't care enough to give any warning to his disappearance. Hell, Sabre had gotten MARRIED back in that world, and he didn't even warn his husband that he'd be leaving! Nor did he think it to be a good idea to at least check on the ones he abandoned.

Reality is able to stay as- well- Reality without having to deal with the pain of Galaxy fighting back since they actually TALKED and have agreed to stay like this. Galaxy wants to try to bring Sabre back, and Illusion wants to strangle him and bring his corpse back. Either way, they both needed to drag Sabre back and decided to work together to reach that goal.
