Thanos loved to draw, let his mind go back to when he saw something and have photographic memory as he dives into the pages and sketches. BUT it wasn’t all well kept standards of an analogy of creatures. Or mostly a hobby for him to flip around. He used those images to help grab a better anatomy of the species he encountered when he adventured off and dissected, experimented with following projects. THAT was his true beauty of work, which he believed was a forwarding discovery of himself. Allowing death to confront him and release his true nature in accepting his fear since birth.
