The door opening and more people walking in was far from out of the ordinary, but Thom still couldnāt help but look over each time it happened. It was an old habit he never really got rid of. No one whose bad side he was on was likely to walk into the common room of an in way out in essentially the middle of nowhere, but it never hurt to be careful.
Thom was finishing off a drink and about to get up to play another song when the door opened again, and again his eyes darted over towards it. He recognized her immediately, but the only sign he gave of recognition was the slight raise of his brows. Moiraine. Light, it had been ages since he had last seen her. She looked different. Ill, or overtired, he wasnāt sure, but he could hardly not notice the young man all but keeping her upright. It seemed she could barely even stand by herself.
He shook his head. He had to let it go for now. It was hard to keep the worry and curiosity out of his mind, and even as he played he kept glancing over in their general direction. And once he was done, he made a beeline for them. He sat, looking at the young man who had been supporting Moiraine when they walked in, and nodded towards the Aes Sedai who was now slumped over the table. āEverything ok?ā he asked, eyebrows raised. She definitely didnāt seem ok from what he could tell.
