❛ it wasn’t a THREAT it was a friendly friend conversation ❜
@ofalexdanvers
Colleen hadn’t heard the full conversation, but she was standing by Alex Danvers — a name she had learned over their last few times together — and looking at Alex as if she had two heads. “That... was friendly?” Colleen found herself thinking about Misty, she would have had the same sort of excuse lined up. (And it was the exact same thing that Colleen had said to Misty after Colleen had been ‘friendly’ to Ward.) “Hate to see what a threat looks like.”

The phones were backed up and Daisy couldn’t locate much of anyone — the Second Chancers were scattered across the city, and Daisy only had a vague idea of who the person who had just gotten added in was, Daisy’s mind was full. And hacking could get her so far, considering that every line was slowed to a crawl — she knew how to cut her way through it but... everyone she was worried, about, were people she knew would be safe. People she trusted to be safe.
But there were a few that she needed to check on — and one in particular that she hadn’t seen face to face for a while. Alex Danvers. Who was more than able to handle herself, but here? While the world was coming apart and people were fighting like dogs in the street? Daisy worried, despite herself. Daisy had let herself into Alex’s apartment and waited, and waited, and waited. She was helping herself to the fridge when Alex finally came through the door. “Hey,” Daisy greeted, shutting the fridge door. “Figured you’d be back at some point to at least eat. Or change your clothes — did you get slimed?”

Every inch of Sharon’s life came with a degree of risk. All different levels of it... but every action she took had an attached risk that she always thought of before going out in public. Risk that she calculated before she and Bucky went to that Dodger’s game and they finally talked about that they were. But today? Today it was bringing Tali out in public. They lived in Jersey for a reason. No one looked too closely at anything, no one cared that there was a man with a metal arm living next door or a woman who came and went at all hours of the day and walked like she owned the ground beneath her --- or the child that came around in the yard with a goat.
Today, the choice was stopping at one of her favorite coffee shops or shooting it straight to Tony’s place so that he could babysit for the day --- but Tali was teary-eyed and wanting a snack (and acting like they never fed her), so Sharon caved and pulled over. A calculated risk that she would be seen with Tali, but considering the alternative was listening to Tali sobbing in the backseat of her car and claiming that Sharon never took her anywhere fun --- Sharon got played by a five-year-old but was trying desperately to justify herself while guiding Tali inside the coffee shop. Hand in hand with Tali, Sharon ushered her towards the counter before she made eye contact with someone she knew.
Every alarm in her head went off at once. And she made another calculation. Lie? Say it was her brother’s kid and she was just babysitting? Or just come clean? (Alex Danvers had helped Daisy Johnson after all. She wasn’t the enemy... their relationship was just complicated.) “Director Danvers,” Sharon said, a hand on Tali’s shoulder as she looked at the other woman. I didn’t expect to see anyone I knew here --- What are you doing here? Do you know about --- Sharon shut it all down, a small smile on her face as she glanced down at Tali and then back to Alex. “This is Tali. My daughter.”

My sister has a couch, I could text her. Nico almost said no. She almost told Kara to forget it, pride speaking louder than self preservation because it stung a little, knowing Karolina had said no to Nico sleeping on the couch. It was fair, and it wasn’t unexpected, but it still hurt. Another day, it might’ve been enough to push Nico into pretending she didn’t really need a place to stay, but right now... Nico was tired. She was cold, she was hungry, and sleeping on a stranger’s couch hardly seemed like the worst thing in the world.
So she went to the address Kara sent her, she knocked on the door, and, when a woman answered, she shoved her way inside with none of the manners her mother had ingrained into her as a child. “You’re Alex, right? Kara said I could crash on your couch.”
BOBBI MORSE, who looks a lot like ADRIANNE PALICKI, would love to see LANCE HUNTER, their EX-HUSBAND. They should be 35+ years old and look similar to NICK BLOOD/UTP. Please DO NOT contact LIV before applying!

The kettle whistled, and Danny busied himself with preparing two mugs with tea. Alex sat in the living room, and Danny flashed her a quick smile as he finished pouring tea into mugs and made his way back towards the coffee table. It was strange, the way this tradition had started. Danny wasn’t sure how federal investigations usually went, but he was pretty sure most didn’t end with befriending one of the agents who’d been investigating you and inviting her over periodically for tea. Then again... Danny’s life rarely followed the usual path.
“I hope you like gyokuro,” he said, offering her a mug. “Ward bought it. He doesn’t drink tea, but he likes buying it. It’s usually fifty/fifty on whether or not it’s any good.” This particular batch had been great, but the last time Ward had been tasked with buying tea, Colleen had refused to drink it after the first cup. Danny had to admit, it had been bad, but... It seemed rude to waste it. “How’s the DEO? Things are getting pretty crazy out there. I hope you’re staying safe.”
