Moving to South Dakota had never been a part of Zoe’s plan, but when she heard about the salvage yard whose owner had met his untimely demise and left the entire thing as a ward of the state, being sold off at auction, Zoe saw it as her chance to get out of California and away from painful memories her old home held for her. So she packed up, headed north and didn’t stop until she reached Sioux Falls.
Getting the old home bulldozed was an expense she gladly took on, and having her own place built in it’s place was no easy task, but she eventually set up shop and got the salvage yard running again. People didn’t take well to her at first, and more often than not men showed up at her house expecting to see “Bobby” but finding her instead, and she could only give her best guess as to what happened to him. Going through the old paperwork was another job all on its own, and she kept running across the same two names. Sam and Dean Winchester.
Finally giving into her growing curiosity, Zoe called the number on one of the slips of paper one day and waited for an answer.
“Uhm, hi. My name’s Zoe. I’ve run across this number like, a hundred times in a bunch of old paperwork at the old Singer Salvage Yard. Did you happen t’know Bobby Singer personally? I got a trunk full a’old stuff that didn’t get ruined in the fire and I’m lookin’ for someone t’give it all to.”
