at first he looks like any other CHILD.

but he is far from one, oh definitely — he is as much as a WARRIOR as any other person that fights for kamui. with immense power in his breath as well as possessing great power of his staff, he was a well unit to have on hand — but oh, oh how INSUFFERABLE he was. he could not help he lived quite the sheltered life — nor could he help he had no idea how humans worked.

&&. there he is doing summer-saults, cartwheels, &&. all sorts of tricks of balance across the snow, in his usual SKIN-SHOWING attire at that, several carepackages being thrown &&. caught in his arms as he did said tricks — his partner in delivering them to the nearing villages, chiyo, watching him as he did said tricks.

    A swift glance up from her book brought a flame haired figure into sight, a crestfallen sigh squeezing itself from her lungs as she places her book down. Shinonome felt the blade of his cousin’s practice naginata graze the skin of his arm. Had she been using a real edge, it wouldn’t be deep enough to cause serious damage, but it would be enough for blood to bead in the cut and a stinging sensation to be present. 

The sword wasn’t a weapon that was familiar to him, but one that he had to learn to wield. As he had pointed out to his father long ago, spears and naginata were an effective weapon against those who carried katana, mainly due to the difference in range. If he got close enough to land a hit on Chiyo with his blade, then she could easily do the same with her own, and likely dish out even more damage in the process. 

He grit his teeth in frustration. He NEEDED to get better. If his cousin could take him out, how could he ever deserve Raijinto? How could he ever be seen as a good leader if he couldn’t defend his people? Adjusting his grip on his katana and returning to the starting position that Ryouma had taught him, he charged again.

The wyvern rider had a satisfied look on his face as he delivered it to the pony-tailed female, pushing it upon its saucer ever so gently to ensure that the stalk remained in its skyward position.

Being a healer, he was often kept in the back for safety. After all, Troubadours were easy targets. Dwyer didn't have much of an opinion, he just hated being sent into battle in general; but that never stopped Master Kamui from throwing him in. A part of him was grateful though for he could keep an eye on his comrades and ensure their safety.

In the midst of battle, Dwyer noticed a Pegasus soaring in the opposite direction. Its rider happened to be Princess Chiyo. As she got closer, he could make out some injuries. He didn’t say anything, only waiting for her to land so he could tend to her wounds.
