Leans in from offscreen, "what's a man got to do for some milk?"

“If you have to ask, you’ll never know.”

"Do you think that maybe you were a mistake?" he's obviously self reflecting in the question but it's also a curiosity if he's the only one.

“No,” she replied softly, looking over at the blonde. “Because after everything, I know I have a purpose.”

“Heh…I know how you feel. Sometimes I still think every character here that isn’t human is a Pokemon. I’ve learned my lesson…multiple times…” The trainer shivers thinking about how the Smashers he tried to catch would chase him or try to fight him themselves. Yoshi stil gave Red nightmares. 

“But even with a strong cast of strage characters, we all are kinda like family, ya know? These people are the kindest and most welcoming group I’ve ever met. They’re like...a second family to me. And I’m sure this place’ll feel just like a second home to ya in a few years.”
