answering these character design questions
motion: How does your OC move? How does their clothing help or hinder their range of motion? Are they flexible, coordinated, clumsy?
answered here!
roots: Is your OC’s look inspired by any specific style of clothing or fashion trend? What are the roots and/or inspiration for their look?
originally, Labrys' look is inspired by what they think is 'edgy enough' to be a look befitting that of a murder cult leader -- they take a lot of inspiration from traditional bhaalist looks, and they lean very punk in their aesthetic: lots of leather, all black save for the occasional splash of crimson or violet, a lot of metal that doesn't seem to have much point other than just being there (chains, piercings, etc). as they get older and more secure in their position they drop a lot of unnecessary ornamentation/flair and lean more practical. they do keep a handful of piercings, but they tone down any colour in their outfits and won't wear something if it doesn't have A Purpose (and no, being comfortable is not an acceptable purpose).
change: Has your OC ever drastically changed their appearance? Significant haircuts, big tattoos, complete wardrobe swap, etc? Why? How do they feel about the change?
when they first accepted their heritage they worked very hard to try and convince the other bhaalists (and themselves) that they were worthy of their position. they went through a very drastic style change (from a very humble, basic peasant style look as a child/teenager to the look described above as a young adult) and spent a lot of time worrying about whether they were doing it 'right'...until they realised that they didn't have to put quite so much effort in to be convincing, and could just kill anyone who showed them any disrespect.
