Peter looked up from his laptop at the rapid knocking at his door. A faint expression of equal parts confusion and irritation slide over his face as he got up from the couch he had been working on. Too late to be his aunt, and he had been working on a paper for class. Really not expecting anyone to come and interrupt him tonight.
Taking a glance through the peephole revealed a guy with one of those pizza carrier things. The ones designed to insulate and help keep the food warm. Harmless, but yeah he didn’t order any pizza. His spider-sense stayed quiet, so not an overt threat. With a shrug he opened the door. “I didn’t order any pizza.”
The guy, young, gave him a slightly sheepish expression. “Yeah man, but your neighbor did, and isn’t answering the door. I don’t suppose you know them and can take it for them? It’s already paid for, but I can’t stand out here all night, I have other deliveries to make.”
In the end, the slight bit of anxiety on the guy’s face made up his mind. Having a rather intimate knowledge of the trouble you could get into running late he nodded reaching a hand out. “Sure, they tip you already?”
“Thank’s and yeah yeah, all taken care of.” The guy pulled the box out handing it to Peter. With a quick wave he turned and rapidly left. Peter started to step back inside his apartment, he’d have to find something to stick a note on his neighbor’s door. Come to think of it, he had no idea who his new neighbor might be.
