It took Ofeefee 6 and a half years to do a runner, and he managed 24 hours before getting nabbed (to be fair, it's not like he was trying to hide, I just didn't see him because I hadn't realized he was missing 🤣).

His enclosure is getting older and the vent had a thinner mesh. I think it got worn, or a hole formed, and he was able to push through. Luckily no injuries! He's back in, safe and sound and getting warmed up, and the issue is patched.

Four days seeing 0 ants, and I broke down and have revamped Ofeefee's enclosure. I did make everything easy to remove (plants are potted, etc), so that if I need to tear it back down it'll be easier this time.

He watched me from one of his new hides as I was adding substrate and enrichment, and now he's going out and about to explore the changes.

Ofeefee is back to wanting out. Last night, it was around ten and he was throwing a fit when I didn't let him out (he's not a big burrower, but he was rooting through the substrate, tossing leaves, choking the fern that's in there, tangling his cords, etc).

I went to go get a pic of him pouting, when he turned his puppy dog eyes on me.

Joke's on me, because all of a sudden I had this brat of snake cruising around my bedroom in the middle of the night 🙄

(that's just dirt on his nose, in case anyone is concerned)
