the sun beams down in alabama, and you've been walking for what feels like days -- weeks. it's been almost a month of this, and your feet are bruised, the afternoons stretched longer and the nights you've barely slept at all. is the cure really worth it, if you are all too tired to hear the rustling in the woods, waiting for you to close your eyes?
"and throw the weak into the outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 25:30
Welcome to the first event, the party has been traveling together for a month now. Since Huntsville Alabama, where Eden Labs was raided by the Adam Division in hopes of extracting the clones and killing whoever was left inside. Only, they arrived to find nothing. Empty incubation chambers, and little leads on where they left in such a hurry. One thing is for sure, they're on their way to California, and Arthor Dumont wants them stopped. They've been instructed to use lethal force on anyone who aids in the attempts of providing safety to the cure, but under no circumstances, are they to harm the clones. Take them. Use whatever force necessary, but they're no use to them dead.
Meanwhile, word travels fast in the south. The party's trackers and map keepers have informed the scientists that The Adam Division has destroyed the lab, which means they're close, and no matter how tired you are, we can't stay anywhere for too long. They've been rotating who sleeps, and who keeps watch. Hunters destroying all evidence of a campsite at all, as they move on in the morning dawn. It's been like this for weeks now, morale is starting to shift, people are tired. Hungry. Wondering how the hell they're going to make it to California at all. When suddenly, in the midst of an forgotten part of the forest, there were gates. And while angels didn't stand and sing as they opened, it's the first ray of hope, in a rather hopeless kind of world they've been handed.
Only, as they approach for a closer look, it's come to everyone's attention -- the town is long forgotten. Houses and structures remain untouched, coffee cups still on the table, beds made like they'd barely been slept in. And water-- good God there's hot water. Whatever drove the people out, it mattered less and less the more time they spent sleeping on the ground outside. It would be quick, a couple nights tops, just to replenish supplies, heal any of their wounded, and for the sake of all humanity -- take a fucking shower.
EVENT ONE.
Hello my lovelies, please like once you have read this! This will be a small, opening dash event to get everyone into character, as our party stumbles upon an abandoned survivor's compound. The town is surrounded by walls made of scrap metal, and large iron gates that tower tall enough to keep the living-- and the infected-- out. Our party will set up camp here for a couple days, to replenish, to boost morale, and most importantly, make use of the hot water. However, keep your attention peeled on the main, because everything in this town, isn't quite what it seems.
We will be opening for interactions, THURSDAY MAY 8TH, AT 5PM EST. Thank you to all who voted in the polls.
thank you so much to everyone who applied, once your account is made and intros are posted, you are free to plot amongst each other. and keep your eyes on the dash, as we will be posting our first task, to help you get a little into character, while building those intros !
