OFF SWITCH AU
(Guess who has basically no active presence within the fandom, but made an au Anyways ;P )
Basic premise, is that for a mysterious reason (I made this up like 4 days ago, so there are some plots holes, bear with me) Kai’s powers mysterious turn off and disappear. Whilst this happening he was within a spinjitsu (?) and it caused almost third degree burns up his left side. (So his left cheek, arm and shoulder)
After some rehab, and the like, he tries to regain his place back within the ninjago squad, but Lloyd tells him to have a break. Lloyd worries that Kai can’t come back to ninja because the burns have caused extensive nerve damage, he finds it hard to do extreme flips and the like.
Angry and frustrated, Kai starts to commit acts of felony, and all in all becomes a pyromaniac. He becomes obsessed with fire and its destructive uses. The Ninja are worried that they’ll have to stop him.
Its still a work in process at the moment. But hey! I’m really liking this
