OFF GERMAN RELEASE - 9 Days Left

Hey guys,

it’s me again. So there are just 9 days left huh? 

I still can’t really believe that we did it. I could repeat now that this was a dream of mine for years and I am very excited about it, but I will keep the chatter for an epic inspiring speech on the day of the release.

In the meantime I finished an OFF design, for those of you who are interested. Remember my last post? I promised you there would be some OFF designs on the store soon, so the first is available now.

I chose this quote because it just got imprinted in my mind and I can’t forget it, along with other quotes from OFF. There are so many quotable lines from this amazing game, you never run out of them.

Hi again! I thought sharing an experience of finding Elstroni would be nice to hear for you. So i showed OFF to my good friend, and she seemed to like it. When i visited her yesterday, she said she saw something in the nothingness. I was quite confused, but curious about it, so i asked her how did the thing looked like. She decided she'll show me, and so we went to the nothingness and found Elstroni. You have no idea how hyped we were! I think your character is so hella cute!

Haha, thanks! Iit was indeed super nice and amusing to know that finding her gave you so much fun and surprise 😂 You made me now hyped too tho I've almost forgotten about this little joke.

OFF GERMAN RELEASE - 6 Days Left

Hey guys,

it’s Fat Matt. How have you been doing?

The release date is getting closer, I am getting more excited and everything looks fine so far. There are a few minor things I got to translate, namely the ReadMe-file, but that’s it. We’re good to go. I will send the game to a friend of mine who will test it which will hopefully work out well aswell.

Apart from that, I promised to create more OFF related Poster merch, so I did.

chciałabym ci podziękować za przetłumaczenie OFF, dowiedziałam się o tym dopiero teraz, zupełnie przez przypadek. Co jest śmieszne grę przechodziłam tak mniej więcej w listopadzie/grudniu 2016, to się nazywa mieć szczęście haha. Ale teraz będę miała powód by przejść to po raz 3ci cnie?

Oooo :) Nie musisz dziękować, to była sama frajda ^^ Nie wyobrażasz sobie, ile tam było niespodzianek i wyzwań w odnajdywaniu kontekstów słów i ich znaczeń! Jak to zawsze powtarzam - czuję się, jakbym grała w OFF drugi raz zupełnie od nowa. Zwłaszcza że tłumaczyłam z francuskiego (co dla niektórych nie jest oczywiste), dzięki czemu znalazłam mnóstwo błędów i niedopatrzeń w wersji angielskiej. Jakoś w tamtym roku pojawiła się wersja 3.0 angielskiego tłumaczenia, która je prostuje, ale jeżeli jeszcze jej nie poznałaś, to przy mojej nie raz się zdziwisz ;)

OFF Polish version still goes better

But some computers have another language set as basic (I know one Spanish and one German) and sometimes something strange happened:

Well, typical Polish char settings is Windows-1250:

when non-Polish computers use similar but DIFFERENT kind character set table for Windows, called Windows-1252:

For some reason, 8F place is there marked as Undefined - whatever that means (and whatever I am gonna write there!). Because of that coincidence exactly ONE LETTER hasn't worked.

Finally I got you, bastard.
