sorry for being so quiet as of late..

I’ve been struggling a lot with how I’ve been feeling, and with trying to get work done. On top of that, or maybe because of it?, I haven’t really been thinking about my selfships. To the point I can’t make any decisions about them even when directly asked. Everything is just so overwhelming at the moment, which makes doing.. anything, really, a draining experience.

I hope everyone else is okay, though

#heart of the void ❀#negative echoes ❀#off‑topic #a friends wants to get me a commission of one of my selfships for my birthday #which is really really sweet of him #but.. even him asking me for references and to say which selfship I want art of makes me feel worse not better #‘cause now it’s another task on the list and trying to make a decision about what I want is just not working out. I can’t think of anything #I hate feeling so stuck like this about every single thing #it should get a bit better once I’ve written my project proposal but I still need to *write that* and it’s all just. not good really!

Today I realised that, since I got a new laptop recently (or, well, started using the laptop my dad bought for work but never used), I could try and re-record the voicebank for my UTAUloid/vocalsynth self-insert, Seralune

The good news is that I was able to get through a reclist before my parents got home, and even just from testing her on the first line of a song (I picked Sand Planet, obviously), she sounds so much better than before - you can really hear how much clearer the quality is from this new laptop's microphone

The bad news is that I think the improvement in quality comes from some sort of automatic noise cancelling in the microphone, because I had to wait for two seconds before recording each file to make sure the start didn't cut off, and even then it refused to record a few of the sounds properly.

So she does sound a lot better than before.. on the syllables that didn't get horribly crunched or made almost silent, which is quite a few of them ._.

#heart of the void ❀#self‑insert: starless sound (seralune)#off‑topic #but since my UTAUloid is also one of my self-inserts.. it feels right to post about this here?#I either messed up how I said the ''r'' sounds in isolation or I messed up how the oto.ini worked because they came out as growls #which is not correct. nor is it how I recorded them.
