don’t mind my laundry lol
At the beginning of lockdown I told myself I would work on my jumps off-ice and also teach myself to cartwheel. It’s been like three months and I’ve only just done some off-ice jumps.. I did some better ones that I didn’t film! So these few aren’t great but I do like the way my legs look lmao
Somehow toe jumps are easier to get like.. spring and height than edge jumps off-ice but none of my jumps are very high anyway which is what I’m trying to work on!! Spent a lot of time trying to work on that and used the step to jump up onto - also btw, jumping off your right foot for a loop? Disgusting, I’ve never realised how hard it is to get height off that.
Also look how dodgy all my salchows are (which is like.. all this video practically, but just either from a mohawk or from a three turn), doing jumps off-ice is HARD and it takes a while to get used to tf. Also even off ice I rotate stupid fast for singles which is why I need HEIGHT so I’m going to keep working on that, also I need to not take my leg out of the jump so soon - falling on grass hurts less than falling on ice STOP BEING SCARED
Satoko has been selected to compete at the 2020 World Championships in Montreal, Canada (March 16-22). Good luck! (x)
Wakaba appeared on the Meiji University Instagram account.
She was asked about her university life and gave some comments on it.
Here is a rough translation:
‘I chose Meiji University because I thought it would be useful for me when I enter the society in the nearest future.
I’ve been interested in Meiji University since I was a child. I know a lot of seniors who have graduated from the skating department of this university, so this is one of the reasons I chose it.
Since I’ve entered the university, my life has changed a lot. Although I might need some more time to get used to it, I could already find some classes that really interest me.
Speaking of university life, I got to talk to students I met for the first time and asked them about things I don’t understand. There are a lot of kind people and I was able to make friends very quickly. Talking to new friends turned out to be even more fun that I thought before coming here.
While balancing between skating and studies, I will try my best to improve my skating results, so please support me!’

Congratulations jujubyeeee - you did it!! My friend is going to #PyeongChang2018, you're touching your Olympic dream🎉🎉 I'm so happy for you, thanks for inspiring me and many others, and for making another step forward for southeast asia. You've worked super hard and it's all paying off. Aunty Irene and Malaysia must be so proud of you😊 It's been hella dope training with you and watching you grow as a skater (and out of your fauxhawk hair days haha). PyeongChang is going to be an experience of a lifetime, enjoy yourself. 😄
