Microsoft ha fatto sapere, tramite un comunicato stampa, che Office 2011 per Mac non sarà più supportato da macOS 10.13 High Sierra in poi. I programmi, infatti, non sono stati testati per il nuovo sistema operativo e la società non ha in programma di farlo. Inoltre, non saranno rilasciati più aggiornamenti di sicurezza a partire dal prossimo 10 ottobre.
Inoltre, prima di aggiornare ad High Sierra è opportuno verificare se la versione 2016 presente sui nostri Mac è pari o superiore alla 15.35: in caso contrario, non sarà possibile utilizzare tutte le app della suite.
A differenza degli utenti Office per Windows, che ricevono aggiornamenti per 10 anni dal rilascio di una versione nuova della suite, gli utenti Mac godono di soli 5 anni di supporto. A mio avviso, visti i costi irrisori, è opportuno sottoscrivere un abbonamento ad Office 365, di modo da avere sempre l'ultima release della suite.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Lync have not been tested on macOS 10.13 High Sierra, and no formal support for this configuration will be provided.
All applications in the Office for Mac 2011 suite are reaching end of support on October 10th, 2017. As a reminder, after that date there will be no new security updates, non-security updates, free or paid assisted support options or technical content updates. Refer to the Microsoft Support Lifecycle for more information.
If you haven't already upgraded your fleet of Macs to Office 2016, now's the time.

Beyond excited actually.
On that note - anyone know about how microsoft office licensing works? I replaced my hard drive and need to reinstall Office for Mac 2011 - but can't use a new license if you know what I mean.
Microsoft was super unhelpful.
