My Latest Time-Saving Obsession: Outlook for iOS
If there's one thing that I learned when I visited Microsoft in Seattle last May, it's that they're constantly working to improve the technology they have. Every time Microsoft releases a new update, the software gets smarter and smarter; this time around, Microsoft has launched Outlook for iOS.
Between my personal e-mail, work e-mail, blog e-mails, spam e-mails, and newly added NYU e-mails I constantly feel like I'm 20 steps behind in life. The new Outlook helps me focus on what's most important. I know it sounds crazy to credit a new update for changing my working style, but I dare you to keep reading. First, the new update works to separate e-mail into two tabs - Focused and Other.
Important emails appear in a Focused inbox
Everything else is filed in "Other"
Another great thing that helps with my super busy lifestyle: SCHEDULING. You all know I'm big on planning my days out, hour by hour. The new update is so great that if I get an e-mail pertaining to a new event, breakfast, or anything I have to go to with a date and time - I can program Outlook to "schedule" the event when I swipe right. Easy, right? No more weird app fumbling.
The best is yet to come: Outlook syncs all mail, Gmail, your iCloud, contacts, calendar and files from Office 365. Act like I'll ever use another service again. Try Outlook for iOS yourself.
