On some level, I'm a bit envious of people who have corgis or Boston terriers or even pit bulls, because there's a sort of breed pride that comes along with that, like you're part of a covert club. But there's no breed-pride club for chihuahua owners. I have to pretty much apologize to people who were fooled into thinking my dog is cute.
It's funny how one internalizes references, and forgets that they're references at all. Like how the name "Ammy" is from a video game, or that "Yip yip!" means anything but "Tiny dog, your presence is requested in my lap!" or "Adventure Time!" is something other than going for a walk.
My dog is the biggest nerd and doesn't even know it.
