i think 2019 is gonna be the year i revisit everything i liked before it was cool to hate it. before it was overhyped or became annoying. because there are some characters and stories that objectively aren't the best, but that mean something to me and were popular in the past for a reason

aw i loved drive, honestly i couldve done w/o the campfire song (except for percy's part about sally and when he finally sings that "oh no....")

no no i REALLY liked it but the melody was just....weirdly out of place in the context of the show? it was almost country sounding which wasn’t bad but it was jarring. and i loved the campfire song, not because it was high quality or anything, but because it was just so damn funny 

and also percy’s part about sally was. the cutest thing ever and i wanted 2 cry

I just got back from vacation so I haven’t been able to sit down and listen to the whole thing yet. I listened to a couple songs on the way home and most of them were really good. I’m just now listening to The Last Day of Summer and umm uMMM that is a clever, chilling, completely perfect parallel right there. It highlights the novel parallels between Percy and Luke’s characters so well, emphasizing how not-so-different they really are, and what Percy could potentially be like if he ever becomes that jaded and bitter…. “It doesn’t pay to be a good kid/a good kid/a good son”…. Holy shit, I love it
