Valentine’s Day Prompts
1. Flowers
(i’ll keep doing these if ppl keep sending me lol)
“How wonderous,” Jenos mused. “How these flowers managed to survive such an assault.”
Buck agreed - the aftermath of a skirmish was never a pretty one, with the wreckage of wagons and battle strewn across the makeshift battlefield. And yet the clumps of wildflowers managed to sruvive it all. Jenos floated over to one bunch and examined them with a detached eye.
“It’s like a metaphor, I guess?” Buck said. “Like even though there was a fight going on and weapons were flying everywhere and I was leaping all over the place, they managed to survive that despite being little flowers, right?”
“Yes.” Jenos hummed thoughtfully. Then he pulled one free from the earth, making sure to get the stem and not the roots, and held it out to Buck. “You and these flowers have a lot in common, then.”
Buck turned a curious shade of pink, but accepted the flower nonetheless.
