Well, after a thunderstorm and rain rolled in this morning. It made the track wet, muddy and slippery! By the end of the race there was massive ruts in the mud sections of the bush and exposed what felt like every root there could possibly ever be! Walton was such a fun track. Never been here before, but I enjoyed every section of it! Definitely looking forward to this event next year! Folks! We also managed a 4th place finish out of 27 in my class and 42nd out of 128 overall!! The KCR MOTORSPORTS KTM is closer to being on the podium peeps! We are getting there, we just gotta keep pushing for it! Also, huge shout out to @2twistedwrx for being my moto girl and helping me at each and every race! And taking the photos/vids for me! Well today the KCR MOTORSPORTS KTM Team traveled to RJ MOTORSPORTS for our first @offroadontario.ca event! (couldn't make the first race) We couldn't have asked for better weather today! Ya a little dusty at times, but the sun was shining and that's all that matters! Didn't have the greatest start, but managed to pull off a 7th place finish in my class of 32 riders at the end of the 2 hour XC race! Also placed an overall 72nd out of 174 riders! Thank you to my pit crew and cheer leaders that tagged along today! Little man climbed right on up on the bike on his own and wanted to go racing himself! Thinking we have a future racer on our hands! Also, you'll see a beautiful lady (aka @2twistedwrx) beside my dirty after race self (me rockin the mullet hard lol) Looking forward to the next event already!! Today the KCR MOTORSPORTS KTM ventured 3.5 hours south down to Gully Mor MX for another @offroadontario.ca event!! Never been to this track before, but I can definitely say it was a blast! Lots of clay and mud in sections of the track that made it slippery and truly testing your skill! Ended up having a large chunk of clay stuck to the helmet for the last bit of the race from another fellow rider that I was trying to pass! Ended up finishing 18th out of 29 in class (which I actually moved up a class for this event and the competition is a lot tougher!!) and then finished 37th overall out of 95 riders on course! What a weekend! Feels great to be back on the saddle on the KCR MOTORSPORTS KTM!! Last minute decision to go to Gophers Dunes for this event, but we are definitely glad we went! Had to do a quick run to Royal In Barrie for a fresh set of tires for the soft terrain we were faced with. A quick tire swap Friday night before making the 3 hour drive to the Dunes! Saturdays morning drive was smooth sailing all the way down. Once setup and arriving to the Dunes, my mom was like "Hey you didn't bring your riding boots!" being 3 hours away, there was no going home and getting them before the race! Was totally prepared to buy brand new boots from the track till the amazing staff at Gophers Dunes mentioned they had a set to lend me for the day! Which I'm super thankful of them doing that! With this minor issue behind us we lined up at the gates with 138 other riders. Ready to take to the gnarly 2 hour race! Had a bad start which seen the KCR MOTORSPORTS KTM being dead last out of the gates. But with 2 hours of riding ahead, I picked off as many riders as I could. The last two laps we got to finally see the rain they were calling for and let me tell ya, it made for a muddy and slippery time in the bush! After washing out in a corner in the bush with trying to make a pass in a corner that turned to shear slop, it took out the electric start on the bike, with quick mechanic thinking I hot wired the bike to start and was able to get the bike going. After 2 hours of riding I managed to finish 9th out of 32 riders in my class and 67th out of 138 total riders on the course. I'd like to thank @gopherdunes for your help and an amazing facility & @offroadontario.ca for putting on such an amazing event! The KCR MOTORSPORTS team had a great weekend down in Moorefield, Ontario for the @offroadontario.ca Ant Hill event!! We put a fresh set of tires on the front and rear of the KCR MOTORSPORTS KTM, which made the bike handle and hook up great with the rough/slippery terrain at hand! Had a great start which helped us keep in the front of the pack and eventually after picking off riders throughout the course we found ourselves battling for the lead! Bouncing from first to second place the whole time! Eventually on the last lap of course I caught up to a slower rider and with the tight woods single track course I tried to make the pass through some trees and found myself catching a tree with the bars sending me over the bars! The KCR MOTORSPORTS KTM took some damage, but nothing too major. Ended up getting the bike back running and limped back up to a ninth place finish in class!! Little disappointed in not getting first or second, but to know we can run with the leaders and have the potential to win is a accomplishment in itself! Plus the KCR MOTORSPORTS Team learned a lot over the course of the race with new rider techniques and how huge a difference the bike preformed with aggressive gripping tires!
