Hi! Could I ask for 18, 9 and 3 for the author's ask game?
(From this ask list)
Hiii Ori! I'm so excited for your story! Thank you so much for sending these! ❤️
3) what order do you write in? front of book to back? chronological? favorite scenes first? something else?
I almost always write chapters in order, but sometimes I'll skip around the same chapter depending on how complex the scene is or what I'm in the mood to write.
For scene variations, I usually always write the warm/silly/emotional/naive personalities first because they're the easiest for me.
I'll write snippets of dialogue exchanges when I get a new idea, but I almost never write any narrative out of order. I also write in first person, so it's hard to guess what the MC would be thinking when I reach that point again later. Not to mention, writing out of order is potentially problematic with IFs.
9) what, if anything, do you do for inspiration?
Oh, I already answered this here!
18) were there any works you read that affected you so much that it influenced your writing style? what were they?
Yup! I bet nobody would expect this, and I barely remember it now, but I gotta say that it's The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger. My first draft probably reflected this a lot more when Patrick was still the MC, but I guess I can attribute the conversational tone of my story and my tendency to go into tangents to it (and why I settled with first person). I'm glad I didn't catch any of Holden's angstiness though.
I actually have several references to it in the story, but those aren't in the demo yet.
