It was a complicated discussion and yet it was one of the few things the two of them had in common. Sköll. Hati’s virulent and stubborn twin, the one who caused more grief in him than any experienced death could. At least Dinah couldn’t agree on that front in terms of her and Sköll’s personal relationship. If anyone had to suffer, it may as well be the older twin, right? Versus the unofficial girlfriend.

Hati swallowed thickly but the tightness in his throat refused to loosen. He had just set a mug of Dinah’s preferred warm beverage down in front of her--as she requested when he asked--and he held his own in hand. The warmth was a welcome solace, pressing into his palm the way a comforting hand mind.

now it’s not exactly easy to explain digging around in a dumpster in the middle of the night. especially when there’s not a simple misunderstanding to explain it as. it’s as suspicious as it looks, trying to find the phone of his latest hit to ensure there’s nothing that can be led back to him. any excuse would be better than the one he was about to use -- he could have said his girlfriend threw out something of his or that something important got mixed in the trash --- but neither of those come out. instead he rests his arms on the side as he leans against the dumpster, ❛ sometimes i just dig in the garbage, but who doesn’t? ❜ not many. ❛ ‘cause you can miss out on some good shit. ❜

7. What’s your opinion on call out posts?

i have no problem with them as a concept, so long as they list legitimately harmful behaviors. there have been some really, really scary people (pedophiles, white supremacists, sexual harassers/assaulters, etc) i’ve come across over the years on tumblr rp, and callouts can be a pretty effective way to keep people safe when used consciously and correctly.

however – there have also been instances when the posts are made by a member of a clique, the grievances really petty and taken out of context on purpose to seem worse than they were, literally just an attempt to drive someone they didn’t like off the website and dogpile until they never come back. i also won’t interact with callout posts that have to do with ‘idea theft’ and stuff like that; as someone who’s been publicly, falsely accused of it before, i think it should be dealt with privately and people should save public callouts for those who are literally harming others, harming minors, etc. if i see either of the above, i’ll usually either ignore the post or unfollow the person who reblogged/made it because a) brings back bad memories and b) god, no thanks.

but in other cases, i’ll always read them in full in case the person named has done things that are genuinely awful – which has been the case plenty of times. if that’s the case, i’ll block the person. i’ve got a pretty good bullshit sensor after all these years so i can usually tell the difference.

13. Have you ever thought about leaving rp? What caused it? What changed your mind?

yeahh uh, plenty of times. the worst one would’ve been what i mentioned above – back when i was in the dragon age fandom, i was publicly and very fuckign falsely accused of stealing a headcanon from a really popular inquisitor blog – something about a knight enchanter’s spirit blade being used as a prosthetic and, get this, saying your inquisitor had depression after losing their arm and going thru war. sjdhjkhfksdf i was also like... 16 or 17 at the time and it freaked me the hell out to see people so willing to turn on me because of smth so small and smth that i didn’t even do, so i left for a couple years. never went back to the dragon age fandom after that. but i went back to my elizabeth blog bc i’d had it for some time by then and didn’t have another good platform to rp on. i don’t know if this counts also, but i did finally leave my canon blog i’ve had since 2013 because i kept getting fuckin vagued about. before making this blog i thought i’d never come back to tumblr, but i’ve had a great experience here, so crisis averted.

16. If you could change one thing about rp on tumblr, what would it be? Why?

i mean, aside from the Givens like getting all the fuckin predators and shit out of here, i’d love to get rid of the aesthetic elitism that’s always been around. honestly though, just getting the elitism in general out of here would be great? i’ve already ranted about this but the weird cliquey behavior on this hellsite is tooooooooo fuckin much. i’m really glad not to have come across it in my circle on this blog, because the OC community is used to being kinda trod upon, but it’s pervasive in canon circles. i’ve been around for too long and am too grizzled to force myself to try to fit in with super elitist blogs. i just care about good writing.
