“After what I did…what I did to you…” Her eyes shut tight and she turned away from him, gripping onto the covers tighter. It was like she couldn’t breathe, the weight of what she’s done during her time as the dark one weighing heavy on her chest. “There’s nothing to talk about,” she mumbled, closing herself off, letting her walls rise up once again.

Moonlit Serenade // Rynn x Apollo

It was the usual routine - a god and a mortal having midnight rendezvous beyond the eyes of the world. The place she often came to was extraordinary, truly, but her heart was heavy this time. Things had gone on long enough now that while she knew she wanted to god, she had little faith it would work- every day Hera came closer to finding out, and every stolen kiss with the god of light was a risk on her life. After all- he was a god, and he likely had many mortals under his spell, who was she to think that he’d ever protect her?
No, if Hera found out and informed her former betrothed, the girl was finished. There was no one to protect. Perhaps this would have to be the last time.
With that, she entered the palace of their secret liaisons- it was abnormally dark this time. Usually, he had the place cast in a warm glow, but tonight the coldness reflected her own emotional state. In fact, she couldn’t see a thing. “Apollo? I have come... are you here?” She called out, her voice a soft echo in the darkness as she walked through the hall.
