ofmd uses a lot of piano music for setting the mood and dad has listened to so much piano music that I’ve been in the same room for so there’s a lot of moments I’m like. oh is that. liszt…? and sometimes I’m like oh that’s reverie by debussy, he composed it when he was like a teenager and was always really mad about how popular it got because it’s kind of like if the cringy oc you made as a kid was lumped in with the entirety Your Oeuvre rather than being quietly forgotten. I know this because of the back of a vinyl sleeve I read 3 years ago. also because somewhere in the 20s someone released the then-equivalent of a pop version of it with lyrics and it’s quite nice
