It had been her choice to come to Auradon Prep; to see what lay beyond the borders of Halloweentown. And while she had heard her brother’s stories, she still wasn’t prepared for the culture shock. For the lack of magic. Of anything weird or strange. It often led to her seeking out the darkest, weirdest places she could find.

Her favorite so far? The crawlspace underneath the stage in the theatre. It was just big enough for two or three people and was where she happened to be hiding when her brother found her.

“So, you’re the famed daughter of Dracula?” Violet stepped across the cobblestones to greet the young woman. “I’ve heard a lot about you from our resident Vampire family. In case no one has said it yet, allow me to welcome to Halloween Town.”

forrest was always a little bit on edge. sometimes he could ignore it, but that was usually when he had a good distraction, or when he had to play normal. it was one of the things he loved about working, it was almost like living a pretend life, where ghosts didn’t exist, and people never found him weird, and everything was just nice. but whenever he was not working, he was brought back to reality, where living life was a constant danger.

(okay, maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but still.)

“uh, i dunno. it’s still worry, whether it’s justified or not.” and he was almost used to being at this same level at all times. it had somehow been even worse when he was younger, as strange as it seemed. foot taps pretty quickly, a nervous habit he would never get rid of. “sorry, i’m really not used to talking about this with anyone. this is uh, kind of a first. or uh, not a first, but, the first time in a while, i guess.”
