          ' be careful, katniss. '   how they had signed    HIM   to her team,  to any team, actually.  mere  public stunts,  showing that even the most   LOYAL  ones to snow joined the rebellion.  what a bad idea it had been  ——  risking his life.  if it all hadn't gone downhill,  unexpected moves and many   DIED   on their path  . . .    truly a  MIRACLE  that it hadn't been caesar, ha, surely snow didn't expect that.  if anything was satisfying   then this.  maybe  because  steps still moved carefully,  dark shoes never stepping too loudly on the ground.     he could die any moment,     heart had beaten that  &  its rhythm  singing  their own song of death.  maybe he would,  lump stuck in his throat,   breath harsh  &  yet they were safe. for once.

          these apartments were too well known,  too many complexes looking like this.  no rich people had lived here,  though those rooting   &   seeking such a lifestyle.     '  special LEDs. an illusion of the sunlight,  very close to it.  it was popular a few years ago. '    a decade, rather.

     GOLDEN eyes have not been idle that past two days --- helped along by light footsteps and unparalleled agility rue has amassed more insight to the CHILDREN she is to be locked into a death battle with ( FOUR favors his right knee, SEVEN looks stronger than she is, TWO is quick to jump to often erroneous conclusions ---- ). the last one causes her to smile a bit, a finger running along the blunt end of the stolen knife.

                              Loud on her feet, Madge Undersee moves through the woodland carelessly, oxford shoes held loosely between her fingers. For just a moment, fleeting and quick, her breath pauses allowing her to listen to buzz created by various amounts of bugs as leaves crunch beneath her bare feet. Every so often she feels a sharp sting in her heel from the pine needles that rested just below her skin. To her though, this is worth it. Though it may not be a comfortable walk, there’s something INTOXICATING about feeling the fresh dew on the grass squishing between your toes. She’s been to the woods a few times before  ( accompanied by Katniss, as the darker haired girl attempts to teach her how to shoot a bow )  and though she realizes that she’s become thoroughly lost she doesn’t plan on searching for the exit anytime soon. It’s not until she hears a sigh behind her that she realizes she’s not alone in these woods, she drops her shoes at her feet and turns in an instant. The look on her face can only be described as a dear caught in the headlights, but once she recognizes her friend the scared look drifts from her features.  ❛ Katniss I —  ❜ She stutters for an explanation, but there’s only the TRUTH. ❛ I just wanted to see the trees again. ❜

Dear B,

It’s so often when I think of you, that I don’t know how to conceptualize you.  I’d call you brother, but I had one of them and that is a singularly unique circumstance I don’t quite fold you in with.  I’d call you son, but you’re an adult and I am not remotely parental.  So for now, it sounds so blasé, but I must speak of you as my dearest of friends.

B, my dearest boy, you deserve the world, and I would personally set a few fires, and snap my share of spines to ensure it’s yours.  I don’t know that you know how rooms light up when you enter them, how morale, dipping from the dull, grey march to death that is living picks up and is livened by the most enchanting music when you approach.  No, I know that you know.  You’re clever, and you know people far too well for obliviousness.  What I want you to take away from this is how I adore it.

B, you are a righteous crusader, a beacon of genius, and a wicked wit with a mind for action.  If there are true movers of the world as we know it, they look like you.  

That all being said, I’m filled with such a rage at what you’ve had to endure, it blinds me.  Be thankful that I never took a ministry job, or I’d have been fired and jailed for murder of that man, and regretted none of it.  Please remember that I would cut down a battalion to attend your safety.  Be unafraid to tell me if you need something, if you want anything, from comfort to carnage, and I will be there.

You are one of my family now, and that is not a phrase I use lightly.  I don’t want a moment’s hesitation of you asking things of me, truly, Honeybee, because there is nothing I spare for family.

          lavender brows contracted for mere seconds, knowing mostly any kind of physical contact was refrained from between victor and host, but too quickly had her hand tipped upon his nose for him to react earlier. eyes glanced above her, blinking several times in utter confusion as he tried to find any words back. there were many things to expect, even tears, however a victor rarely did such a thing ; he was sure she was the first.  however, the professional smile returned to his lips after so quickly fading away.    ‘   is there something about my nose ?’    chuckle held within his words, fingers moved to touch the tip of his nose himself.    ‘   nice nose, isn’t it ?  quite proud of this one ….   ’
