the expression on melanie’s face is entirely unimpressed, probably has SOMETHING to do with the fact that a friend of hers DARES to nothing short of an encyclopedic knowledge of horror movies. sure, they aren’t usually her genre ( too similar to some of the memories that linger in the back of her mind ), but there are SOME that manage to capture her attention well enough for that not to MATTER so much. this one especially.

she plucks the dvd case from her hand, turning it over -- all the better to showcase the ACTUAL title of the movie. ❛ it’s the one about the PARANORMAL INVESTIGATORS. i thought it might be appropriate, you know? ❜ never mind that it just so happens to be her FAVORITE.
