first of all thank you! im also exploding about it all the time oop

anyway deltarune also has turn based combat just like persona, so battles are already similar in that vein. though the whole soul avoiding damage thing is something completely different and, frankly, weird since its not kris-only thing, everyone gets hurt if the soul is hurt. unless its just an artistic interpretation of everyone avoiding attacks, but i doubt its this simple when it comes to something created by toby fox

and besides combat, both games have a "who dun it" type of plot going on, with supernatural greatly involved. and a small town setting. and the whole different world too. WHAT IM SAYING IS there are Connections, you see. i think combining these two is really fun, many things can work together nicely

and overall i agree deltarune setting/plot/etc would also nicely fit a persona game structure

Depends on the format I think...if it's similar to "Oki's Weird Stories" or "Izzzyzzz" then I would say it's a docu but if it's like..."Nightmind" or "Nick Crowley" then I wouldn't say so....sorry if that's not super helpful but I generally lean more into full dissections rather than summaries of events/stories. (Points if they have to go somewhere irl to investigate further)

im gonna be real i apparently missed that implication for aoc because i interpreted him being terse with link as feeling usurped by someone who seems greater despite being newer

i like aoc a lot so far. im very fond of purah and robbie, they're a lot more capable than you're led to believe and you can really SEE it in the game. but hey is just me

AOC did so much really, really well, don't get me wrong. I adore what they did with Mipha and Sidon (and also very much like Mipha being a Menace on the battlefield + Zelda getting to fight for once!) and my god Robbie and Purah are such a delight I adore them in canon but I would not love them as much as I do without AOC that's for sure.

but it just feels. very weird, that Revali dislikes Link for literally the exact opposite reason as he does normally? (and also like. going from 0 to 100 immediately in that first scene and that just,,, never being addressed later :()

ymmv and all, different people get different things out of games and honestly it's always so much fun to see different people think about different things that I otherwise might not think about at all :>
